Overview:

  • TechXplore is an ideathon aimed at discovering innovative solutions and fostering collaboration. It is a two-track event, focused on ‘Computational Intelligence’ and ‘Automation, Construction, Industrial Management’. This is a team event that challenges students to brainstorm, work in a team, and present their idea to judges on the spot, with a focus on different aspects like novelty and use cases.

Event Flow:

  • 1. Registration and Team Allocation:
    Arrival and Sign-in: As participants arrive, they sign in, confirming their team and chosen track.
    Tracks:
      ● Computational Intelligence
      ● Automation, Construction, Industrial Management

  • 2. Event Kick-off:

    Welcome Address: A brief introduction about the event, its importance, and what to expect. Rules & Guidelines Explanation: Ensure all participants are clear on the event's rules, especially the focus on creating the PPT during the event itself.

  • 3. PPT Finalization:

    Brainstorming Session: Teams discuss and finalize their presentation. PPT Modification: Teams continue working on their PowerPoint presentations. This should be time-bound to ensure all teams have equal time. Mentorship/ Guidance Window: Allow teams to interact with mentors or guides for a fixed duration to refine their ideas and presentations.

  • 4. Team Presentation:

    Presentation Commencement: Teams are called up one by one to present their ideas. Focus Points for Presentation: Teams should ensure they cover:
    1. Innovation
    2. Business Model
    3. Future Scope
    4. Feasibility
    5. Tech Stack
    6. Presentation Skills

    Q&A Session: After each team's presentation, a short Q&A session is held where judges and possibly other teams can ask questions.

  • 5. Judging and Feedback:

    Judges' Deliberation: Judges discuss and score teams based on the set criteria. Feedback Session: While judges deliberate, consider having a feedback session where mentors or senior participants provide general feedback, ensuring it's constructive and valuable.

  • 6. Closing Ceremony:

    Winners Announcement: Two winners from each track are announced. Certificate & Prize Distribution: Winning teams and participants receive certificates, prizes, or any other form of acknowledgment.
    Closing Remarks: A thank-you note to all participants, mentors, and organizers. Share any future opportunities or events and end on a positive and motivational note.

Rules and Regulations:

  • Originality: Ideas and solutions presented should be original. Any form of plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification.
  • Track Selection: Teams must select their track (Computational Intelligence / Automation, Construction, Industrial Management) at the time of registration and cannot switch tracks once the event begins.
  • On-the-Spot Creation: All PowerPoint presentations must be created during the event. Pre- prepared presentations or content from outside sources will lead to disqualification.
  • Time Management: Teams must adhere to the allotted brainstorming and PPT creation time. Late submissions won't be entertained.
  • Presentation Duration: Each team's presentation should not exceed the specified time limit (e.g., 10 minutes). Exceeding the time limit can result in penalty points.
  • Q&A Session: Only the first three questions posed will be entertained post-presentation.
