Overview:
- The CSS Challenge is a professional event structured into two distinct rounds, designed to test and showcase the exceptional skills of CSS developers. In the first round, Blind Coding, participants face the ultimate challenge—coding a program without the assistance of a monitor. The second round, CSS Styling, challenges participants to exhibit their design expertise by crafting a specific shape using CSS properties.
Event Flow:
- - Registration and Team Formation: Participants, form teams consisting of a maximum of two individuals.
- - Round 1: Blind Coding: With monitors turned off, participants are tasked with coding a program. The judges will evaluate the accuracy of the code and the count of errors.
- - Round 2: CSS Styling: Participants receive a specific shape to design using only CSS. Judges will assess the similarity of the created design to the provided shape, evaluating design accuracy and skill.
- - Final Score Calculation: Judges will assign scores based on participants’ performance in both rounds, reflecting accuracy, coding finesse, and design ability.
Rules and Regulations:
- - In Round 1, monitors must remain turned off to ensure a blind coding environment.
- - Use of CSS is mandatory for coding; no preprocessors like SCSS or other languages are allowed.
- - Participants must adhere to additional event-specific rules, as communicated during the event.
- - Decision of the judges will be final.
