Description:

• - The event Carpe diem is a manga/comic short story telling contest.
• - The participants need to form a group of 3 or 4.
• - The main topics that would be provided as choices for the short story would be Artificial Intelligence, biotechnology, space exploration, climate change, issues involving technology and science and to imagine how technology and science will affect the future of humanity.
• - The group has to draft a script for a short story regarding the topic that we provide in 1 hour
• - The group then has to draft 2 to 3 panels of a comic or a manga which is able to abstractly indicate the contents of the story or can fit their short story into that entire amount of panels.
• - One of the team members must narrate the short story in 5 minutes. The time allotted to create the panels of the comic or manga will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.
• - A judging panel consisting of 2 members must be created who will judge the script of the short story, the panels that are created and the narration by one of the group members.
• - The panels of the comic/manga must be created digitally using online tools such as following:
  1. Pixton
  2. Medibang paint
  3. Inkscape
  4. SketchBook
  5. Systemax PaintTool SAI
  6. Figma
  7. Canva
  Or any equivalent tool.
• - The use of AI tools for thinking of the story is strictly prohibited and the group that indulges in such activity will be eliminated.
• - There will be three prizes-1st, 2nd and 3rd
